MARKING ANNIVERSARY OF DEATHS OF FAMOUS SERBIAN WARLORDSDelegation of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, headed by the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Ljubisa Dikovic, laid wreaths at the monuments of Field Marshal Zivojin Misic, Petar Bojovic and Pavle Jurisic Sturm, at the New Cemetery in Belgrade, on the occasion of marking the anniversary of the deaths of the three Serbian warlords.
Tribute to the generals by laying the wreaths was paid by the representatives of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, the City of Belgrade, the Society for preserving the tradition of Serbian liberation wars until 1918, and the descendants of the warriors.
"In the past few days of January we have been marking the anniversary of the death of our three great generals Misic, Bojovic and Sturm. Paying tribute to them we are paying it also to their soldiers, but also to the people of Serbia, who played a heroic role in the Second World War, and suffered numerous victims", Deputy Speaker of the Municipality of the City of Belgrade, Zoran Alimpic said.
